The opening of the second phase of shopping and entertainment center ‘Veles’ in Ivano-Frankivsk is scheduled for Q4 2021. Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed as the exclusive leasing agent.
The development of the second phase of shopping and entertainment center ‘Veles’ with the total area of 52,000 GBA and 37,500 sq.m GLA in Ivano-Frankivsk was started in 2019. Cushman & Wakefield, an international consulting company acting as the exclusive leasing agent of the property, informed that recently there have been signed the agreements with anchor tenats such as supermarket ‘Silpo’ (4,250 sq.m), children's entertainment center ‘Fly Kids’ (3,500 sq.m) and the cinema ‘Planeta Kino’ (2,268 sq.m).
“This will be the first regional shopping and entertainment center in Ivano-Frankivsk that will meet the needs of the city and the region in quality retail space,” said Kateryna Vesna, Head of retail agency and consultancy in Cushman & Wakefield Ukraine. - Western Ukraine has traditionally been an interesting region for large chains to expand. As of today, there is no alternative retail property in the city and the region, so this is a unique opportunity for companies representing international fashion brands to open their stores here.”
When talking about the occupancy, then, according to Kateryna Vesna, despite the fact that construction is still in progress, the areas and configurations of the premises with anchor tenants of the retail gallery – fashion stores, appliance shops and sporting goods stores – have already been approved.
Yuriy Kizim, project manager, said that the opening of a new phase of the shopping and entertainment center ‘Veles’ is scheduled for Q4 2021. “We set ourselves to revitalizing of the industrial area into a modern space that will combine shopping, leisure and entertainment. After the extension, the shopping center will meet the requirements of the best international brands. For the purpose of this, we rely on international consultants at each stage of the project.
